Surprisingly frustrating when your Wi-Fi network is connected but your Internet won't turn off. The network shows up in your Wi-Fi menu, you've entered the correct password, but then you open your browser and find nothing. Arg!
Why is your Wi-Fi not working? Many different things can be blamed. Sometimes the solution is simple. Your router may be out of date or in need of a quick reboot. But sometimes it is a bit more complicated. That's why we've developed a guide to help you repair your network and get your Wi-Fi flowing like sauce again.
We cover simple tips at the top of this guide, but scroll down for tips on complex network problems. Let's start
Easy solutions for your Internet:
You don't even have to get out of your chair to try these solutions. Either of these measures is expected to work.
Reboot your device
This may seem a bit obvious, but you need to restart your device first. It won't always work, but it does give the OS a chance to clean things up and try again if it freezes, doesn't recognize the network, or just isn't cooperating.
See if there is a blockage on the Internet.
You may not be the only one whose internet is down. Quickly search Twitter or Google to see if anyone else in your area reports a lack of internet or communication problems with your provider. You can also find information about Internet outages on the Internet Downer Down Detector website, or you can call your own Internet Service Provider (ISP) for an investigation.
Pay your internet bill
Your internet may not work just because you forgot to pay your bill, which may seem a bit obvious, but it happens! Call your provider to get your internet support or go online for your monthly payment. And sign up for automatic payments so you don't have to worry the next time.
Check IDM crack
With Internet Download Manager, IDM Crack Download (IDM) is a tool to increase download speed, resume and schedule downloads. Comprehensive recovery from errors due to misleading connections, network problems, computer shutdown, or unexpected power outages will resume the ability to recover broken or interrupted downloads. The simple graphical user interface makes IDM user friendly and easy to use.
Test your Wi-Fi on different devices
If you're on your laptop, check your phone or tablet from the outside to see if you can access the internet through the same Wi-Fi connection. If you're connected to one device but not the other, you know that your internet connection is fine and it's a disconnected device with a problem.
However, if your Wi-Fi is not working on any device, it is the router, modem, or your ISP that is causing the problems. It could also be a faulty Ethernet cable connecting your modem to your router.
We'll cover some of the tips for disconnected devices somewhere in this section, but let's start with modems and routers, as these are the most common culprits in problems like Wi-Fi.
