Everybody is on the Internet. It happens all the time, all the time, and you can't even avoid the daily need for an internet connection. You need a strong internet connection to run TV shows, send emails, run game tournaments with your closest loved ones. Unfortunately, most of us have a laid-back attitude when it comes to painting a picture of ourselves.
When this is unavoidable and your internet connection fails or won't connect completely, you shouldn't panic. Here are some easy, tried and true ways to reconnect your system and get back to your day as soon as possible.
Most of the time, an outage in your system is an indication of a problem with your home system, not with your Internet Service Provider (ISP). The only way to be sure that this is not an ISP problem is to troubleshoot and see if you can get your Internet connection up to date.
Check your strength
We have all done this. He slapped our computer keyboard, stood up, and wondered why it wasn't working, without checking to see if it was working. If you don't have internet, make sure your router is not plugged in or not half, half off.
Check the router's LED status indicator lights. If you don't see the lights at all, your router may be plugged in or not getting power at all. It's as easy as possible here: unplug the power supply and plug it back in.
If your router still won't turn on, now is the time to check your power outlet and power strip to see if they are receiving power. If you have your store or the power strip to blame, the problem is solved.
Check your network connection:
If you are not getting an internet connection on only one device, like your phone or laptop, but you are getting an internet connection on others, check your Wi-Fi connection. If you are connected to a network, but don't have the Internet yet, it's time to check your computer's network through System Preferences -> Network (on a Mac) or Net. Right-click the job icon -> select Troubleshooting to run. Diagnostic check (on a PC).
If you don't have Wi-Fi, but you use Ethernet, check your Ethernet connection. Verify that you have an internet connection. If you have one hand, connect the replacement Ethernet cable directly to your computer.
Check your router:
Physically inspect your router and make sure everything is plugged in where it should be. Check all the lights on your router and look for disturbing colors, such as orange or red lights, and if any of your lights are flickering.
If you're using an older router, you may be falling behind in the fight against multiple devices for bandwidth. It might be time to upgrade to a new router that can handle the workload of your devices.
Restart your system:
Get started with your router: unplug the power supply, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Once your router reboots, check the system again to see if your internet connection is back. If not, do the same plug and reboot with your computer and power strip.

If you have to avoid handling the problem over the phone, a service technician will come to your home and conduct an inspection to make sure both cables and equipment are working inside and outside the home.
Once the problem is identified, your service technician should prepare it and surf the Internet again in a timely manner.
